Back in Time...

OK, so like I said I am going to back up the clock/calendar several months to update everyone on our lives. Let's go back to 2006...just for a second. This is when we started trying to have a baby. And for 2 1/2 years we were unsuccessful but, in November of 2008 we found out I was pregnant. Not just pregnant but with TWINS!! In the words of Cecil Ray, "SHUT UP!" That is what he told the doctor when he said it was twins. I was 6 weeks along and because my blood levels were so high they did an ultrasound to see if there could be more than one...YEP! Now, moving on. We came up with some creative ways to tell our families. We told our parents right when we found out and made them keep a secret (no pictures of them since we told them on the phone). Then, at Thanksgiving we told everyone else. First, his family...

We picked up Todd and Tyler on the way to the Razorback game and it was hard not to talk about it while we were there.

Then, it was off to Hamburg where we got to tell everyone in a creative way...

We made a puzzle with a hidden message. Tyler was the one who saw it first and Shawn yelled it out...

Then it was off to the Mahaffey's to tell them in a neat way...

We filled bottles with candy and attached this little note...

Now that everyone knows it's on with the pregnancy. In December, we kept our promise to two "snow bunnies"...
and went to Red River for a last vacation (I was 8 1/2 weeks, no skiing for me)!!

Moving right along into my pregnancy, I started "showing" around 6 weeks...

And kept growing (15 weeks),

And growing (20 weeks),

And growing (35 weeks)!

I delivered the girls at 36 weeks because Hannah was taking food from Hayley and she was getting smaller instead of bigger.

We found out in March that we were having two girls so let the shopping begin...

After the shopping, mom and I decorated the girls room...

We then had four WONDERFUL showers.

One in Dallas... One in Hamburg...

One in Hot Springs...

And one at Cecil Ray's office...

We got so many wonderful gifts. Almost everything on our registries were purchased and with our gift cards, we were able to get the rest. We are so truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends...THANK YOU ALL!!

Here We Go...

So, we are jumping on the wagon of blogging. The purpose of the blog is to keep our family and friends posted on what is going on with our family. But, most of all we will keep you up to date on the girls! I will go back in time for those of you who haven't met the girls yet. Looks like I will have to keep this one short for now as I am being paged by two little girls...it's feeding time!!
